Digital Independence Starts with a Choice
What’s broken
Somewhere along the way, we traded control for convenience. Our messages, our habits, our purchases — quietly collected, analyzed, and monetized by companies and systems most of us never agreed to trust.
It happened gradually. And for a long time, it felt like a fair deal. But the more you look at it, the harder it is to unsee: we went from using technology to being used by it.
What I stand for
Digital independence — The freedom to choose my own tools, run my own services, and communicate without asking permission.
Privacy by default — Not because I have something to hide, but because having control over your own life shouldn’t require justification.
Open systems — No gatekeepers. No walled gardens. Just tools you can inspect, understand, and trust.
How I push back
Sentig DIP isn’t a company or a movement with a logo. It’s one person’s effort to build and share alternatives that actually work.
I write articles. I build tools. I share what I learn. Sometimes I code. Sometimes I translate. Sometimes AI helps shape the words — but the thinking is always mine.
It’s not loud. It’s not flashy. But it’s consistent — and it’s honest.
Who this is for
This is for the curious. The ones who’ve started asking uncomfortable questions about the tools they depend on every day.
Maybe you want to host your own email. Maybe you just want to understand what’s happening with your data. Maybe you’re not sure where to start — and that’s perfectly fine.
You don’t need credentials or a technical background. Just curiosity, and a feeling that things could be better than this.
Who I am
I’m not a brand. I’m a person who’s spent decades working with technology and decided to start using that experience for something that matters to me.
I use AI to help express and translate my ideas — not to replace my voice or pretend to be something I’m not. This platform is part of how I stay intentional in a world that rewards autopilot.
What you’ll find here
Articles in English, Norwegian, and Swedish. Practical solutions rather than theory. Tools that work and ideas worth sharing. A growing library that belongs to no one but the people who read it.
This isn’t just a website. It’s a starting point.
Welcome to Sentig DIP. You’re not alone in this.
